MY NINETH RECIPE

This is my nineth recipe. And this recipe is very traditional in south india especially in tamilnadu. This is a very famous fried rice recipe and this recipe is very famous in temples also. And the recipe is PULIYODHARAI, in olden days travelling people make this food recipe and take with them it will good to eat for long time.

Come lets move into the recipe

PULIYODHARAI

Before go into the recipe lets know the ingriedients

INGREDIENTS

RAW RICE - 1 CUP

TAMARIND - A SMALL LEMON SIZED

GINGELY OIL - AS NEEDED

TURMERIC - 1 TEASPOON

ROCK SALT - AS REQUIRED

GROUNDNUT - AS YOUR WISH

GRAM DAL - AS YOUR WISH

URAD DAL - AS YOUR WISH

ASAFOETIDA - AS NEEDED

CURRY LEAVES - AS NEEDED


FOR MAKING POWDER FOR PULIYODHARAI

PEPPER - 1 TEASPOON

GRAM DAL - 1 TEASPOON

CORAINDER SEEDS - 1 TEASPOON

FENUGREEK SEEDS - 1/2 TEASPOON

RED CHILLIES - AS YOUR WISH

SESAME SEEDS - 1 TEASPOON


PROCEDURE

first cook the rice, the cooked rice should not be mushy. after the rice gets cooked trasfer it to a large bowl.

now make the puliyodharai powder dry roast all the ingredients given seperately.

to make puliyodharai paste take a kadai add sesame oil. gram dal, urad dal, ground nuts, asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric, tamarind juice and salt for taste.

make the tamarind paste till the oil realesed fully from the paste. now the puliyodharai paste is ready to mix with rice.

add rice, puliyodharai paste and puliyodharai powder mix it together.

now add some coriander leaves, fried curry leaves finally.

now puliyodharai is ready to serve.
