MY EIGHTH RECIPE

This is my eighth recipe. this is a sweet recipe and it can be prepared easily by anyone and for beginners also. and this recipe is my favorite, that is there are so many kasi halwa the name is kasi halwa but it is prepared by white pumpkin or saambal poosanikkai.

come lets move to the recipe

KASSI HALWA

before we go into the recipe lets see the ingredients

INGREDIENTS


WHITE PUMPKIN - 250 GRAMS or 1 CUP

SUGAR - 100 GRAMS

MILK - 1/4 CUP

GHEE - 3 TABLE SPOON

CARDAMOM POWDER - 1 PINCH

CASHEWS AND RAISINS - 3 TABLESPOON

EDIBLE CAMPHOR - 1 PINCH


PROCEDURE

first grate the pumpkin and squzee the excess water and keep aside.

take a heavy bottomed kadai and boil the milk after the milk gets boiled add the grated pumpkin.

cook the pumpkin after the pumpkin get cooked add the sugar and cook well.

now add ghee and cook till the halwa get into little thik consistency.

then add cardamom powder and cook it for one minute.

then add the edible camphor and switch off the stove.

now the mouth watering halwa is ready to serve.

before serving garnish the halwa with some cashews and raisins.
