MY FOURTH RECIPE

This is my fourth recipe. And this recipe is very famous in south indian weddings. this recipe is served at the end of the meal. And the recipe is PAYASAM.There are so many varieties of payasam today we are going to prepare basic payasam using TAPIOCA PEARLS and VERMICELLI or we called it as SEMIYA so the payasam recipe named as SEMIYA PAYASAM

Come lets move to the recipe

SEMIYA PAYASAM

Before go into the recipe we have to know the ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

SEMIYA OR VEMICELLI - 1 CUP

TAPIOCA PEARLS - 3 TABLE SPOON

SUGAR - 1/2 CUP

GHEE - 3 TABLE SPOON

MILK OR COCONUT MILK - 1 CUP

CARDAMOM POWDER - 1/2 TEA SPOON

CASHEWS AND RAISINS - AS REQUIRED

CONDENSED MILK - 1 TABLE SPOON

WATER - 6 CUPS

PROCEDURE

First take a pan add one cup of water and add tapioca pearls into the water boil it till it turns mushy.

Then take another pan and add a tea spoon of ghee and add the vermicelli or semiya , roast it for three minutes in a medium  flame. then add some water and boil the vermicelli for two minutes.

Then add the boiled  vermicelli into the boiled tapioca and mix it well, then add the milk, water into the mixture. leave it to boil for two minutes.

then add sugar into it after the sugar melts add condensed milk and cardamom powder and put the stove into slow flame.

Then roast the cashews and raisins using some ghee and add it to the PAYASAM.

Now turn off the stove, PAYASAM is ready to serve.

Serve this payasam in bowl add some cashews and raisins on the top.
