This is my fifth recipe. This recipe is very easy to make with simple incredients and it can be prepared with in few minutes. Most of people, especcially children and youngster doesnot like this recipe. And the recipe simply called UPMA. This upma can be prepared using rava or sooji, wheat rava, rice rava etc... Today we are going to prepare upma using rava or sooji.
Come lets move to the recipe
UPMA
Before go in to the recipe lets know the ingredients
INGREDIENTS
RAVA or SOOJI - 1 CUP
ONION - 1/2 CUP
GREEN CHILLIES - 2 NO
SALT - AS REQUIRED
WATER - 3 CUP
FOR TEMPERING
OIL - 2 TABLE SPOON
MUSTARD SEEDS - 1 TEA SPOON
URAD DAL - 1 TEA SPOON
CUMIN SEEDS - 1/2 TEA SPOON
ASAFOETIDA - 1 PINCH
CURRY LEAVES - A FEW
PROCEDURE
Take a kadai and add oil after the oil gets heated. Add mustard, urad dal, cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves.
Then add finely chopped onions and slited green chillies, saute it upto the onion gets translucent.
Then add three cups of water and salt as required and leave it to boil.
After that add the rava into the boiling water leave it to cook for few minutes in medium flame.
Now the upma is ready to serve.
